Christian Staehely of Princeton has been named to the 2007 Roger Clemens Award Watch list for the upcoming season. He posted a strong season in 2006 including leading the Princeton Tigers to their sixth NCAA appearance in the last 11 years. He posted a 5-2 record with a 2.57 ERA during the regular season. He also carried a no-hitter into the eighth inning against Arkansas but ended up losing the game after having the no-hitter broken up. This summer he was a member of the Cotuit Kettleers where he went 5-1 with a 2.09 ERA against the best college baseball players in the country. He is one person to keep your eye on this season and the College Baseball Blog will be attending his start at Harvard this year.

The Courier News checks in with an article on the new draft rules and how they will impact the baseball program at Elgin Community College. They are one of the top Juco teams in the country and they consistently send players to Division 1 colleges or the MLB draft. The article believes that there will be very little effect on the baseball team at Elgin.

SEBaseball has posted a preview on the Citadel Baseball team for the 2007 season. The team should compete for an NCAA bid in the very strong and underrated Southern Conference.
