The Southern Miss Golden Eagles have continued their strong start to the season with another victory on Wednesday over New Orleans by a score of 4-1. The Eagles had a strong pitching performance from Jared Cavenaugh who lasted 6.1 innings while only giving up one run on six hits. Trey Sutton led the Eagles with three hits. Southern Miss now heads to the Wiregrass Classic for the weekend. They will face Georgia Southern on Friday, Indiana on Saturday, and Troy on Sunday.
Southern Miss also picked up a victory over University of South Alabama on Tuesday by a score of 6-1. Sorry for posting this late. I have been extremely busy with my real job lately which should get back to normal after next weekend.
