the problem with these rankings, and ive been through this with my oldest son not getting ranked as high as he should have, is you have to have money to pay for your exposure, and lazy scouts only go scout these big "area code games" type deals, all those events asked my son tony to play but wanted money from us, we didnt have it. if they scouted basketball the same way, you wouldnt have some of the athletes they have now. but ill enjoy watching Tony playing for pete hughes and virginia tech this year...i want to see how he stacks up with kids who were a little more financially better off.

Casali probably deserves some mention but he is never going to get on the field.

I will see Dietrich against BC this spring so I can tell all the readers my opinion on this big-time recruit.

So is it just me or does Dietrich look like the secret love child of David Eckstein and Craig Biggio?

I'd also throw in Curt Casali at Vandy, who was in BA's top 60 HS prospects. He enrolled in summer school before the draft.

He's probably not going to have as much of an impact as the guys listed above, as he's expected to split time behind starting catcher Shea Robin as a freshman, but look for him to be the next in the line of dominant Dores.
