Texas’ Brandon Workman got the start today on the mound and went 6 innings throwing 89 pitches and striking out 11 Broncs in picking up his first win as a Longhorn. Leading the way for the Horns offensively is Brandon Belt going for 2-4 and driving in 4 rbis. The starting Pitcher for the Broncs was Phillip Rodriquez. Phillip had the Horns handcuff through the first 4 innings in striking out 4 and the Horns batters guessing. After Phillip went out the bullpen could find the strike zone as they issue 8 walks and 3 hits bats man. Texas turn a 2-1 deficit in the 5 inning into a 10-3 win. These two teams will get right back out there tomorrow afternoon at 2:30. On the mound for Texas will be another Freshman Chance Ruffin and on the mound for the Broncs will be TBD.

Check back tomorrow as I will have a full rundown of the game.
