Georgia Tech completes the sweep, beating Virginia Tech 2-1

Sophomore pitcher Zach Von Tersch gave up only one run in 7 innings, leading the Yellow Jackets to a 2-1 victory over the Virginia Tech Hokies. Freshman center fielder Jeff Rowland went 3-for-4 at the plate, and third baseman Brad Feltes homered down the left field line to lead the Jackets’ offense.

Third baseman Ty Hohman led the Hokies today, going 2 for 2 with a walk. Freshman pitcher Jesse Hahn took the loss, giving up only 2 runs on 4 hits over 6 1/3 innings.

The Yellow Jackets improve their record to 12-1 and 3-0 in the ACC. They travel to Panthersville to face the Georgia State Panthers on Wednesday. The Hokies fall to 7-6 and 0-3 in the ACC. They take on James Madison on Tuesday in Blacksburg.
