Knowing that game would be great, we made plans to see it in person. It was every bit worth the trip, and Kentucky did an outstanding job. We knew that Kentucky would be one of the best teams this year and they have proven us right so far. If you have a chance to see them play, make sure you do so. Kentucky fans greatly appreciate Carroll opting to stay this year (along with Green and Cowgill). Kentucky has a solid line up this year and looks to have a record number drafted. Looks like Omaha will be on the travel schedule....

Carroll can rake indeed.

The Friday game between UK and Vandy that was referenced was a classic. Price had a no-no through 5 or 6 before he got into some trouble with hitters counts and UK got to him for 4 runs through 8. Then Weathers came in and was absolutely lights out with 4 perfect innings and something like 8-10Ks of the 12 batters he faced. I believe he and Price combined for something like 24Ks in the 12 inning classic. It was up in Lexington in a really ugly weather weekend, but I believe FoxSports or some similar channel aired the game.
