CBB and StatStud.com Players of the Week for May 12th

Share

The College Baseball Blog and StatStud.com have teamed up this season to bring a weekly award for the top players in the last week. We will select one pitcher and hitter every week throughout the regular season. This week the Pitcher of the Week is Eric Beaulac of LeMoyne while our hitter of the week is Matt Stoeklen of Ball State.

Eric Beaulac of Lemoyne pitched a nine inning no-hitter on Saturday against Rider in a 1-0 Dolphins victory. He only allowed two walks while striking out nine batters to get his first career no-hitter. He ups his record with the win to 8-2 with a 3.33 ERA in 12 starts.

Matt Stoeklen of Ball State had a monster week where he hit for a .583 average with a slugging percentage of 1.583 in three games. He ended up homering in all three games last weekend which included a loss to Michigan and two wins over Northern Illinois. He is now hitting .285 with seven homers on the year.

All SID’s are encouraged to email us with their nominations for Players of the week by clicking here.
