Though the completed baseball stadium is still months away, UCA fans can now take a glimpse into the future with the latest architectural renderings of the project, which were just released by the firm of Wittenberg, Delony & Davidson, Inc.
“You can see we’re getting top-notch quality,” said UCA athletic director Brad Teague. “These renderings give us a great look at what the completed facility will look like. You can see from these images that it is going to be an impressive, Division I-quality stadium that will compare favorably around our league.”
The new UCA Field, which has been under construction since mid-May, is expected to be completed this winter. The playing surface, lights and dugouts from the previous complex remain, but a new covered grandstand, press box, concession stands, restrooms and common areas will be erected in the coming months.
“You look at these images and it gives you a sense of excitement,” Teague said. “It’s a sign that we’re that much closer to the completion of the project and the stadium becoming a reality. It’s going to be something we can be proud of, and it will be a great asset to our baseball program. Coach Doug Clark, his staff and his student-athletes have done some wonderful things, including beating two Top 10 teams this year, and this facility will only help the program continue its climb.”
