Cincinnati Reds Area Code Team
The 22nd playing of the Area Code Baseball Games will be held on August 5-10, 2008 at Blair Field in Long Beach, California. This year, teams will compete with players from around the nation with the Chicago White Sox, Texas Rangers, Washington Nationals, Milwaukee Brewers, Cincinnati Reds and New York Yankees bringing teams back in 2008. A new team enters the fold this year, the Oakland Athletics will represent the Southeast.
When this years eight Area Code Teams from around the nation take the field in Long Beach, California this August it will mark the 22nd year of the Area Code Games. What started out in 1987 as small regional event in Lodi California has grown into the highest regarded high school talent showcase in the country.
