Early season trips to the states of Virginia and North Carolina, plus six home dates later in the season, highlight the 2009 Princeton baseball schedule. The season kicks off with a three-game series at UNC Greensboro beginning Feb. 27.

Princeton opens the season by playing its first two weekends on the road prior to Spring Break. Princeton starts the year with its first 18 games away from Clarke Field. Princeton opens with the three games at UNCG and continues its early season schedule a week later at William & Mary with four games scheduled for three days with a Saturday doubleheader.

After a week on campus, the Tigers set out for their Spring Break trip, a week of games in Virginia, North Carolina and Maryland. The trip starts with a pair of doubleheaders at Norfolk State. Princeton has the Monday of that week off before playing Tuesday and Wednesday at North Carolina and Thursday at North Carolina A&T. The Tigers close out the trip with four games at Navy, just as they did last season.

The Tigers open the Northern portion of the schedule on March 24 with its home opener, a midweek game against Rutgers. Princeton then begins league play the following weekend when Brown and Yale visit Clarke Field for Ivy League doubleheaders.

After a mid-week game at Monmouth, Princeton heads to Dartmouth and Harvard the following weekend for doubleheaders. The Tigers then host Columbia for four games as Gehrig Division play begins and remain at home with a midweek match-up against Seton Hall. The Tigers are then at Penn for four games, visit St. John’s for a night game, and conclude by playing Cornell in a home-and-home series the last weekend of April.
