We are looking into getting some corporate sponsorships for the 2009 season. I am getting real close to getting enough funds a month to be running this site full-time. If we could get one major sponsor for the 2009 campaign, then it will enable me to travel the country covering games to bring to our great readers.

How’s this effort going? I hope that CBB can get some major sponsorship, but I also hope that this can happen without going to the usual Easton, Rawlings, Mizuno, etc. I have nothing at all against these people, but it seems like they sponsor just about everything baseball-related.
I think that Subway would be a good fit. I also think it would be good for the summer leagues to get involved. CBB has done a good job of reporting on the summer leagues, and we can do an even better job if the summer leagues help us out with covering our costs.
