Fair enough, Brian...but sounds from your response that you're compiling a Top prospect listing vs. a Top college players listing (as you're talking far more about stuff, tools and where a player is likely to be drafted than his on the field D-I resume). If so, I agree with the Solis selection in the Top 50...but given his performance to date IN COLLEGE against D-I foes, he's certainly shown flashes of potential, but has his performance been such that he should be ranked amongst the Top 50 returning college players? Quite honestly, he might not make my Top 100 list if that were the criterion.

It is my opinion on who the Top 50 players in the country are....Solis is a third or fourth rounder if he was to come out this year.

I like the kid's game and he has good stuff.

Your opinion might be different then mine but I stand by it.

Brian, is this a listing of the Top 50 best college players or (as with Baseball America's listing) the Top 50 pro prospects. As I'm sure you'll agree, there is a HUGE difference between the two (although, of course, there is significant overlap between the two lists).

Unless this is a Top prospect listing, I don't understand how Solis can possibly make a Top 50 list given his prior resume from D-I play...and while The Cape is often a strong indicator of future performance, it is a decidedly pitcher-friendly league.

So my question is this-- what criteria are you using for selecting this Top 50 listing?
