Oklahoma City salvaged the third game of the series with Lubbock Christian. This leaves the Stars and Chaps tied for the lead of the Sooner Athletic Conference.

Point Loma Nazarene and Azusa Pacific split. The Master's was swept by Vanguard, so the end result is, Point Loma has sole possession of first place in the GSAC.

British Columbia and College of Idaho split. This leaves them tied for first place in the Northern division of the NAIA West. They play two more tomorrow.

Two heads-ups: Jamestown plays D-I North Dakota on Sunday. Lubbock Christian is scheduled to play cross-town Texas Tech on Monday. Should be a good one. According to Texas Tech's web site, http://texastech.cstv.com/sports/m-basebl/ , there will be a video webcast of the game, for a price.

Lubbock Christian SWEPT a double-header with Oklahoma City today. Great performance by Rene Garcia of the Chaparrals in the second game; went the 7-inning distance, three hits, 5 K.

And about that 25-0 drubbing of College of Santa Fe that I mentioned; the Chaps hit six home runs in one inning.
