MAAC Player of the Week
Tucker Nathans, Fairfield
Sophomore, 2B, 6-1/180, Warwick, N.Y./Salisbury Academy

Nathans hit .563 (9-for-16) for the week with six RBI and four runs scored to help Fairfield to a 4-0 week and extend its winning streak to seven games. Three of his nine hits were for extra-bases, which included two doubles and a triple. Nathans also had a slugging percentage of .813 and an on-base percentage of .632, and drew three walks. In 19 games this season, he leads the team with a .405 batting averaging and 18 RBI and is tied for the lead in runs scored with 14.

MAAC Pitcher of the Week
Rob Gariano, Fairfield
Junior, RHP, 5-10/180, Nutley, N.J./Nutley

Gariano threw his second complete game of the year to power the Stags to a 7-2 victory at UMBC. He scattered two runs and seven hits over nine innings, while striking out 12 batters to improve to 3-2 on the season. Gariano retired seven of the first 10 batters he faced, a span which included five strikeouts, and had a shutout into the fourth inning.

Ethan Jackson, Saint Peter’s
Freshman, RHP, 6-2/239, Howell, N.J./Colts Neck

Jackson pitched a complete game shutout against Niagara for Saint Peter’s first conference victory and the first of his collegiate career. After an 0-5 start this season, he gave up only four hits and struck out three while walking none. Jackson retired the final seven batters in a row, while facing only 24 batters – three over the minimum.
