The College Baseball Blog would like to announce that Central Florida’s Shane Brown as our Player of the Week while Tyler Kehrer of Eastern Illinois as our Pitcher of the Week.
Central Florida’s Shane Brown had a great week where he tied an NCAA record for reaching base in 18 straight times. He was solid at the plate also with a .722 average with five doubles, two homers, and 10 runs scored.
Tyler Kehrer pitched a complete game against Southern Illinois-Edwardsville as Eastern Illinois cruised to a 5-0 victory. Kehrer only let up an infield single in the third inning for the only hit of the game. He retired teh next 19 batters while striking out 14 batters in the game.
