CBB Visit: Texas State vs Texas Fall Scrimmage
Posted on November 1st, 2009 by Donald J. Boyles in Big 12, CBB Visit, Southland Conference
Both Texas State and Texas wrapped up their fall practice schedule with a 14 inning scrimmage between the two clubs. The scrimmage is used to give the players a chance to get a look at some different pitchers besides their teammates during fall practice.
Texas State jumped on Taylor Jungmann in the 1st inning with a 3 run HR. Texas came back with two in the bottom of the 1st. Brandon Loy started it off with a double and came home on a single by Jordan Etier. Russell Moldenhauer sent one over the left field fence for a solo shot.
Then score after 9 was Texas State 7 Texas 5. The final score after 14 innings was Texas 9 Texas State 7.
As I was leaving the ball park this afternoon I drop my water and my notes and the notes are not legible. I have been scrambling to piece it back together but no avail. I also have added some notes in the picture.
