According to multiple sources, SEC Athletic Directors have approved the use of a 20 second pitch clock during the 2010 SEC Tournament. The goal of the clock is to shorten games and make them more fan and TV friendly.
I remember watching last season a game from the SEC Tournament at around 1 AM eastern time and could not believe that they were still on.

What do you think of the use of a Pitch Clock?
I think its a horrible idea to force a pitcher to speed up. If you want it sped up, ditch aluminum and/or call more borderline strikes.
From personal experience through my attendance at the SEC tournament the past 5 years, I must say that I am VERY happy the conference is being proactive about this issue. Seems like all the schools are on board.
It simply is a great idea.
