FROM CBB NEWS SOURCE

SouthAlabama MOBILE, Ala. – Members of the University of South Alabama baseball team and the USA Diamond Girls, a volunteer group dedicated to helping the program, have assisted with a Salvation Army holiday program each of the last two weekends.

On the first two Saturdays of December, a group of individuals with the Jag baseball team worked from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. with the Salvation Army Angel Tree program, sorting donated gifts into appropriate age categories for future delivery this holiday season.  USA baseball program members donated their time at the Salvation Army warehouse near Sidney Phillips Preparatory School.

The Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program has been in operation for over 40 years, providing tens of thousands of children and seniors facing hardship in communities across the country with Christmas gifts.

As part of the program, the players and Diamond Girls each adopted two angels and provided gifts as well.
