Daniel DiBartolomeo .439 BA 1st in Big East, 4th in Nation only 12 strike outs, 8 HR, 59 RBI. If this kid does not qualify then there should be an investigation!

  2. Stephen Wright says:

Ryan Carbah 6′4 RHP from Missouri Western/St,charles CC..Era of under 2.00 for 4yrs. 2nd in nation for saves his sophmore year, averages 2ks per inning, throws in the low 90’s never given up a homerun in college or summerball, for the 4 yrs in college and summerball, has over 30 saves out of 30 saves.i guess thats the problem with div.II baseball no scouting, but he should be on the list..

  3. Joe says:

Kudos for including Blake Kelso. As a Cougar baseball fan, I’ve felt that Kelso has been overlooked in his first two seasons. In addition to his tangible stats and measurables, he is a great team leader and plays a good shortstop.

  4. Dave says:

I hope you take a look at Tucker Nathans from Fairfield University. His numbers over his first two years at college are incredible. Last season he hit .377 with 21 extra base hits. His on base percentage was .460 and his slugging was .546. This kid can run, hit for power and has a well above average shortstop arm. Unlike most players in college he has shown that he can handle a wood bat. He hit over .300 in the NECBL last summer.
Oh, and not to mention, he starts for Fairfield’s Soccer Team as well. I know this is a small program and a conference that is not known for being a baseball powerhouse, but this kind can play.

  5. Scott says:

The Northeast never seems to get much coverage. Nick Campbell, a senior this year at Bryant University has had an outstanding career in center field. During his freshman and sophomore years, Bryant was in the Division II, NE-10 conference. I think the only wood bat conference in the country. His sophomore year was highlighted with 97 hits, 53 with a wood bat, and a Rawlings Gold Glove award. Last year he broke the school career hit record with 249. With another year to go, he will certainly go over 300. He hit .306 in the NYCBL and .306 in the Northwoods league over the past two summers.

  6. Chad says:

I hope you take a look at Drew Lee shortstop from Morehead State University. Last season as a junior Drew hit .413 with 18 2B, 17 HR, 67 RBI and broke a school record with 86 hits. Drew was honored at the end of the year with a selection to the American Baseball Coach’s Association/Rawlings All-South Region First-Team. He was also named a third-team All American by Collegiate Baseball and was also one of 15 semifinalists for the 2009 Brooks Wallace Award, which honors NCAA Division I’s best shortstop.

Guys I posted this earlier , when talking about the top 100 , you have to be crazy not to mention the Lefty from Duke Chris Manno. He was pursued big time by the Nats and decided to finish his career at Duke. I know he is a senior but man I love his makeup and love his stuff

    Willie

  8. Jamie says:

Willie dead on. Listen to these numbers. Cape Cod Manno was 4-0 with a 1.22 ERA. 55 strike outs in 42 inn. Pitched in the all star game and get this came in with bases loaded no outs.struck out the side, including 2 first round picks. pitches the next inn strike out 2 of 3. Pitches in the championship game , strike out 10 in 6 inn, and his team wins the championship for the first time in 21 years. @ Duke , if I am reading the numers correctly , soph year was 6-2 with a 3.2 era and was 4th in the country in strike outs. My ACC contacts tell me he is the real deal, not overpowering ,just plain and simple difficult to hit. then last year in the ACC , batting average against 228. Not bad. My guess is he is a good student at Duke and wanted to finish is school. Anyone have any news

    Jamie

  9. Toby Ziegler says:

Another guy from the Ohio Valley Conference you should take a look at is Zach Borenstein from Eastern Illinois. As a true freshman, he put up a line of .394/.506/.547 last year. Led all freshmen in OBP, was 20th overall in the nation in OBP. This kid can flat out rake.

  10. Pedro says:

Manno Is A local Ny Kid, that simply gets better and better each year. I played along side of him in Joplin for the JR Us olympic team. He is a think wirey lefty, that really is impossible to pick up. I watched him in the cape, and wow this guy is better then the previous year, and then we played against him in a non conference game. He pitched a couple of innings and I can honestly say this guy is going to be a good pro ball player. Wood bats and Manno will be a great combination and a profitable one for the bat companies

  11. mark says:

I saw a young man throw this year up in the cape. A big right hander out of the University of Minnesota, Seth Rosin. He had no problem getting out the best hitters in the country while still developing his breaking ball. The big durable body projects well for a middle of the rotation guy or a late inning reliever. I think the fastball will have more on it out of the pen. Rosin could very well land himself in a top round next June. I hope you have him on the list to come.

  12. Dave says:

Very interesting that the pitcher who might be the Sunday SP at UCLA and hasn’t done much if anything in two years is ranked ahead of the Friday SP at Fullerton who will be in his third year as a SP.
