The CBB continues our countdown for the 2010 College Baseball season by checking in on the Top 100 Players in the country. We will be providing one player per day until we reach number 1.
We continue the list today with number 21 in our countdown with Rick Hague from Rice. He is from Spring Texas and attended Klein Collins High School. He picked up honorable mention Louisville Slugger High School All-American as a senior while also being named MVP of the Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association 4A-5A All-Star Game.
Hague stepped right into the Owls lineup as a freshman playing in 60 games (59 starts) while having a .348 batting average while hitting eight homers and driving in 54 runs. He was named to Conference USA All-Freshman team after the season was over. He also picked up Freshman All-American by Collegiate Baseball and Second-Team Freshman All-American by the NCBWA.
Rick continued his strong college career during his sophomore year in 2009 when he had a .319 average with nine homers and 57 RBI. He also showed some speed 
by stealing eleven bases in 16 attempts. In the summer of 2009, he played with the Collegiate National Team. He finished the summer with a team high .371 average in 22 games while hitting three homers and 16 RBI. He played most of the summer playing third base as Christian Colon was the everyday shortstop. He only made one error on the summer even though he was playing in an unfamiliar position. I ended up seeing Hague play two games this summer and he was less than impressive: He went 0-6 and only got on base once, with a walk.
