LSU’s Anthony Ranaudo done with Brewster Whitecaps

Share

AnthonyRanaudoLSU According to a reliable source, LSU RHP Anthony Ranaudo will not pitch the rest of the summer with the Brewster Whitecaps. Ranaudo has had an excellent summer with the Whitecaps going a perfect 3-0 in five starts totaling 29.2 innings pitched with 31 strikeouts and only eight walks. He held opponents to a .217 average. Ranaudo was rated as the best college baseball player by TCBB heading into 2010 but struggled with injuries throughout the season. He ended up going 5-3 with a 7.32 ERA in 15 appearances (11 starts).

The Boston Red Sox selected him with the 39th overall selection but Ranaudo decided to head down to the Cape to try to improve his signing bonus with the Red Sox which he has been able to do with his great numbers. You can check out a video from ESPN’s Keith Law below.
