AUSTIN, Texas — As if trying to lend credence to the name Fall Ball, the weather was cool and rainy as the Texas Longhorns converged on UFCU Disch-Falk Field for their first full-team practice on Thursday.
Another piece of the bridge spanning the gap between the 2009 and 2010 seasons began to take shape and there were some noticeable changes.

With high expectations for the Broncs, The University of Texas-Pan American baseball program announced the 2010 schedule August 12 with 26 home games, which will be played at the Edinburg Baseball Stadium, versus 20 away occasions.

ShareThe University of Texas has put the final touches on their 2010 schedule. With the season starting on February 19th and ending the weekend before Memorial Day, this gives teams 14 weeks to play a 56 game schedule. Texas will play 52 games in 2010, including 34 home contests. They start out the season with New Mexico State on opening weekend, followed by a visit from Stanford the following weekend. Afterward, Texas will travel to Houston, Texas for the Houston College Classic where they will be joined by Houston, Rice, Missouri, Texas Tech, and Texas Christian.

The rosters announced today are comprised of nine players for each division, determined by the votes of managers from each team.

Bryan-College Station, TX (August 11, 2009) – Although the Brazos Valley Bombers came up short in their bid to claim a Texas Collegiate League championship, the 2009 season was a summer full of excitement and new memories. With improvements on and off the field and new records set, the 2009 season was a stepping stone for many great years to come.

Although they are the two newest teams in the Texas Collegiate League, the Victoria Generals and East Texas Pump Jacks finished the 2009 regular season far ahead of the rest of the pack. The two teams took home the majority of the awards, including eight of the 12 All-League selections.
