Casey Grogan of The Five which covers Oregon State sports has put out his Final Top 25 for the 2008 season. He has the Fresno State Bulldogs in the top spot followed by Georgia in the second spot. He had a whole formula for the ranking system and the full poll is available here.

DALLAS, Texas – After finishing its historic postseason run with a 6-1 victory over Georgia on Wednesday night to win the College World Series, Fresno State finishes the 2008 season ranked No.1 in the final National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association poll.

DALLAS – The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association continues its tradition of NCAA Division I polls for the 11th year with its 2008 weekly surveys. Polls will be circulated from Feb. 25-June 30 following the NCAA World Series in Omaha, Neb. DALLAS (NCBWA) – The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association continues its tradition of NCAA Division I polls for the 11th year with its 2008 weekly surveys. Weekly polls will be circulated from Feb. 25-June 30 following the NCAA World Series in Omaha, Neb.

The poll voters come from 30 college baseball writers and related media persons from throughout the nation. This week’s poll has representation by 12 different conferences among the 297 baseball-playing schools in the 2008 NCAA Division I ranks. Read the rest of this entry »
