BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — The UAB baseball program has compiled a challenging schedule for the 2009 season, featuring 34 chances for fans to see the Blazers at home.

The 56-game schedule includes a 24-game Conference USA slate. UAB will play 12 league contests at Young Memorial Field in addition to 22 non-conference home games.

The Blazers play three of the first four weekends at home, including a season-opening series with Big South foe Radford (Feb. 20-22). The early-season schedule also features home series against Presbyterian (Feb. 27-March 1), another Big South team, and Ivy League member Harvard (March 13-15).

Today we have 5 more, St Mary’s, Utah Valley, North Carolina State, Western Illinois, and St. Bonaventure. The Brazos Valley Bombers are proud to announce the 2009 Schedule Presented by Mack Bolt and Steel, Bruders Electrical, and the George Bush Presidential Library and Museum.

The Bombers will be holding promotional nights each and every game of the 2009 season, with Margaritaville Wednesdays, Thirsty Thursdays, Fireworks Fridays, and Saturday Giveaways returning from last summer. The Bombers will be playing 15 of their 24 home games on the weekend this season, including four games on Fireworks Friday, which has become the Bombers biggest tradition night.

JONESBORO, Ark. (12/24/08) — First-year ASU head baseball coach has announced the Red Wolves 2009 Schedule which features 31 home games and 25 road contests.

ASU will open the 2009 season with a trip to Arlington, Texas for the UTA Inviataional Tournament, facing Texas State, UT-Arlington, Siena and Texas State from Feb. 20-22.

The Red Wolves open home action by hosting SIU-Edwardsville for a three-game series February 27-29 and will host Southeastern Conference foe Ole Miss on March 4. Read the rest of this entry »

WILLIAMSBURG – William and Mary baseball coach Frank Leoni announced the Tribe’s 2009 competition schedule today, which features 56 games to prepare W&M for the Colonial Athletic Association and NCAA Tournaments. 35 games are scheduled to be played at Plumeri Park, 33 featuring the Tribe and two which will feature teams in a neutral-site match-up. In total, W&M will have seven games against three teams that made the 2008 NCAA Tournament.

TOLEDO, OH – Toledo will compete in 56 games over the course of its 2009 season, Head Baseball Coach Cory Mee announced today. Seventeen of the games will take place at Scott Park. The Rockets are 36-25 (.590) at home over the last three seasons.

UT will again face a challenging non-league schedule against some of the nation’s elite conferences. Contests against teams from the Big Ten, Big East, Atlantic 10, Horizon League and Sun Belt highlight the non-conference games.

THIBODAUX, La. – Head Coach Chip Durham announced the 2009 Nicholls baseball schedule Friday morning. The 2009 slate features four SEC opponents, as well as six teams who earned bids to the 2008 postseason.

“I would put our schedule for this season up against anyone’s in the country,” stated Durham. “It’s a really tough schedule with seven SEC games, one Conference-USA and four Sun Belt games, so we’re going to be challenged.”
