KevinLeightonManhattan RIVERDALE, N.Y. - Fifth year head baseball coach Kevin Leighton revealed Manhattan’s schedule for the 2010 campaign. The slate features contests with powers from the ACC, BIG EAST, Conference USA and Colonial Athletic Association, in addition to the always challenging MAAC lineup. The Jaspers open the season Feb. 26-28 at the University of Miami, a 2009 NCAA Tournament participant.

CitadelRelease Charleston, S.C. – The Citadel baseball team released their 2010 schedule today. The Bulldogs will host 34 games at Riley Park this season, including their first seven contests of the year.

"This is a very demanding and exciting challenge for this young ballclub," said Head Coach Fred Jordan. The schedule features five teams that participated in the NCAA Tournament a season ago with South Carolina, Coastal Carolina, Kansas State, Elon and Georgia Southern on the slate.

BakersfieldSchedulePhoto The Cal-State Bakersfield Roadrunners baseball program has recently put out their 2010 baseball schedule. They will open the season on Feb. 19th as they host a four game set in three days against the Air Force Academy. The following weekend sees them hosting a three game round-robin tournament with St. Mary’s, Central Michigan, and Cal coming to Hardt Field. The first road game comes on March 3rd when they travel to 2008 NCAA champion Fresno State. A couple of other highlights on the schedule are trips to Arizona, TCU, and Cal Poly while Pacific and UC-Davis headline the home schedule.

RayTannerSouthCarolina The South Carolina baseball team has announced its schedule for the 2010 season featuring 25 games against 2009 NCAA Tournament teams as well as 33 home games at Carolina Stadium. The season opens on Friday, February 19 as Carolina hosts a three-game series vs. Duquesne. The schedule also includes 30 Southeastern Conference contests, a three-game series with in-state rival Clemson, and an early-season weekend series and rematch with 2009 NCAA Regional opponent East Carolina in Greenville, N.C.

MattZielinskiRichmond UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. – Third-year head coach Mark McQueen has announced the University of Richmond’s 2010 baseball schedule, with the Spiders set to play seven NCAA Regional teams, two College World Series participants, along with 29 home games at historic Pitt Field.

The Spiders’ aggressive 56-game schedule features seven teams that reached the Regionals of the 2009 NCAA Tournament – Virginia, North Carolina, George Mason, Ohio State, Xavier, Oklahoma and Jacksonville. The Cavaliers and the Tar Heels each reached the College World Series in Omaha, Neb.

MississippiStateStadium STARKVILLE, Miss. – A slate of 33 games at Dudy Noble Field featuring 17 different opponents highlights a challenge-filled 56-game Mississippi State University baseball schedule announced this week by MSU head baseball coach John Cohen.

Mississippi State plays 28 of its 56 games and squares off against 10 teams that advanced to the 2009 NCAA Tournament, including 15 games against teams that reached the NCAA Super Regionals and eight matchups with teams that competed in the NCAA College World Series.

Charlotte2010Schedule CHARLOTTE — The Charlotte 49ers will face four teams that made the NCAA Tournament, including a pair of NCAA Super Regional participants and one team that advanced to the College World Series last season on the 2010 Charlotte baseball schedule, announced today.

Charlotte will play 23 of its first 28 games in the friendly confines of Robert and Mariam Hayes Stadium, which opened on March 30, 2007. Charlotte is 59-20 at home in that span (.747 winning percentage) overall and 28-11 in conference games (.718 winning percentage) at home since 2007.

OhioStateStadium COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State baseball team will begin the 2010 season playing 18 of its first 21 games in the state of Florida with the other three being played in Knoxville, Tenn., head coach Bob Todd announced Thursday.

The Buckeyes, the defending Big Ten Conference champion who started 18-3 last year with the first 21 games played in Florida, open up their season Feb. 19-21 with three games in Jacksonville against North Florida, Florida A&M and Richmond before taking part in the second-annual Big Ten/Big East Challenge Feb. 26-28 in Clearwater/St. Petersburg. The 10 team, 30-game event pits the Buckeyes against South Florida, Notre Dame and in-state foe Cincinnati. Ohio State defeated the Fighting Irish and Bearcats in the inaugural Big Ten/Big East challenge last season.

(UCFAthletics.com) – Fans looking to catch the UCF baseball team on the diamond in 2010 will be able to start planning their spring as the Knights officially released their schedule and season-ticket information Thursday. The Black and Gold will play 19 of its first 21 games on campus, while UCF will have a total of 36 home games lined up for next season.

“We are looking forward to a very competitive 2010 schedule,” said second-year head coach Terry Rooney. “As always Conference USA continuously ranks as one of the top five baseball leagues in the country. That combined with our non-conference schedule will give fans plenty of opportunities to see the Knights this year.”

The Bulldogs 2010 slate features four teams that appeared in last season’s NCAA Tournament along with a number of matchups against teams from the Big 12, Big West and Pacific-10 Conferences.

"We are really looking forward to getting out, playing one of the nation’s toughest schedules and building off of last year’s success," commented 2009 WCC Coach of the Year Mark Machtolf.
