Share The CBB continues our countdown for the 2010 College Baseball season by checking in on the Top 100 Players in the country. We will be providing one player per day until we reach number 1.
We continue the list today with number 87 in our countdown with Murray State senior first baseman/DH Wes Cunningham. He is from Louisville Kentucky where he attended Eastern High School where he picked up four letters playing for John Morris. He helped lead them to a district championship and a 32-7 record in his final season.

A home-and-home series with Kentucky and Western Kentucky, along with a road game at Ole Miss, highlight the 2010 Murray State baseball schedule that was announced by head coach Rob McDonald Thursday.
“Our 2010 schedule will be very competitive,” said McDonald. “The tough non-conference schedule will prepare us to make another run at the Ohio Valley Conference championship. I am excited to have home-and-home series with local rivals Western Kentucky, Evansville, Arkansas State and Belmont, as well as a trip to Ole Miss.”

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. – The Southeast Missouri State University baseball program will conclude fall workouts with its 16th Annual Steak and Beans Series. The best-of-five intrasquad series will begin Tuesday at Capaha Field. First pitch of the series is set for 5 p.m., CT.

Share Baseball America recently put out their Top 25 College Baseball and High School Prospects for the 2010 MLB Draft. The college rankings are led by Bryce Harper who has received national attention for skipping his final two years of high school to play college baseball with Community College of Southern Nevada. The rest of the top five is Anthony Ranaudo from LSU, Deck McGuire from Ga Tech, Levon Washington from Chipola JC, and Chris Sale from Florida Gulf Coast. The rest of the top 25 is available below.

Share Collin Whitchurch of The Daily Eastern News has a good article looking at the summer of the Eastern Illinois baseball players. They had guys in leagues from Cape Cod all the way to Texas. They didn’t disappoint as Josh Mueller had an excellent summer with the Wareham Gatemen which has seen many scouts already calling Eastern Illinois coach Jim Schmitz.

Share The Coppin State Eagles have released their 2010 baseball schedule. The Eagles will begin the season with a seven game road trip with stops at Longwood (Feb. 19-20), George Washington (Feb. 26-27), and Navy (March 3). They will then return home for seventeen straight home contests including weekend series against Iona (March 6-7), Lehigh (March 12-13), Maryland Eastern Shore (March 27-28), and Niagara (March 30-31).
