We have some interesting Mid-Week games coming up on Tuesday which is highlighted by Clemson and Georgia playing a home and home series. The College of Charleston will play against cross town rival Charleston Southern while Alabama will play two games against UAB, Ohio State plays Toledo, Coastal Carolina will play against Wake Forest and Elon. CORAL GABLES, Fla. - Freshman catcher Yasmani Grandal drove in the game-winning run after junior Dave DiNatale hit a two-run game-tying single in the bottom of the eighth as No. 2 Miami rallied to defeat Bethune-Cookman, 7-6, Wednesday night at Mark Light Field. TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - University of Alabama senior first baseman Matt Bentley slammed two home runs, including a solo blast in the fifth inning that gave the Crimson Tide the lead for good, in a 9-5 win over the Samford Bulldogs Wednesday night at Sewell-Thomas Stadium.
Bentley went 2-for-4 with two home runs and three RBI in leading the Crimson Tide to its sixth straight win. Bentley gave the Tide the lead for good with a two-out, solo home run in the bottom of the fifth inning off losing pitcher Michael Jarry. FULLERTON, Calif. - The 21st-ranked University of San Diego baseball team scored four unanswered runs in picking up a 6-2 win over No. 16 Cal State Fullerton Tuesday evening in a non-conference game at Goodwin Field.
With the win, the Toreros improve to 8-7 overall and improve to 6-1 against ranked opponents this season. With the loss, the Titans fall to 8-5, suffered their first home loss of the season and saw their five-game winning streak come to an end. Read the rest of this entry »

Sophomore Sheldon McDonald threw eight shutout innings of five-hit, nine-strikeout ball and did not walk a batter, as he led the Huskies to a 5-0 win over the Western Michigan Broncos on Wednesday afternoon at IMG Academies in BRadenton, Fla. CARY, NC–Old Dominion University senior first baseman Brian Cipolla (Plainview, NY.) knocked in six runs to lead the Monarchs (1-1) to an 8-6 victory over second ranked North Carolina (3-1) Tuesday evening. This is the highest ranked team ODU has ever beaten.
North Carolina took a 5-4 lead into the top of the ninth. With two outs, in the ninth Cipolla hit his first homer of the season to right field to tie the game.
