MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) released the Pro-Line Athletic National Player of the Week awards for the period ending May 3, today. George Mason junior first baseman Justin Bour was named National Hitter of the Week, while Ohio State sophomore right-handed pitcher Alex Wimmers was named National Pitcher of the Week. ShareMINNEAPOLIS – The D3baseball.com/National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Top 25 poll was released Tuesday and Salisbury University dropped to No. 4 after the Sea Gulls spent the past two weeks at No. 2. The Sea Gulls (34-6) collected 518 total points.

DALLAS – The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association continues its tradition of NCAA Division I polls for the 12th year with its 2009 weekly surveys. Weekly polls will be circulated from Feb. 23-June 25 following the NCAA World Series in Omaha, Neb.
The poll voters come from 30 college baseball writers and related media persons from throughout the nation. This week’s poll has representation by 11 different conferences among the 302 baseball-playing schools in the 2009 NCAA Division I ranks.
