CHARLOTTE, N.C. - No. 2 North Carolina pounded out a season-high 22 hits and had five pitchers combine on a four-hit shutout in a 17-0 win over Charlotte Tuesday at Robert and Mariam Hayes Stadium. Oklahoma 5 TCU 4 (12 innings)
FORT WORTH, Texas - For the second straight contest, the TCU Horned Frogs found themselves trailing heading into the ninth inning only to rally to tie the game. This time the Frogs needed three runs to tie the game at four, but Oklahoma broke the tie in the 12th inning to take a 5-4 victory Tuesday night at Lupton Stadium. ATLANTA, Ga. — Chris Hicks earned his 7th save of the season to help lead Georgia Tech (24-5) to a 5-4 victory over East Tennessee State (6-21). The Yellow Jackets scored the first 5 runs of the game before the Buccaneers answered with 4 runs of their own, including 3 solo home runs. Luke Murton hit a two-run double to start the Yellow Jackets scoring, but 3 ETSU errors on a single play allowed Tech to score what turned out to be the deciding run.
Georgia Tech remains undefeated in mid-week games this season, but has a tough stretch of games coming up. They first head to Cary, NC, for a 3-game series against the North Carolina Tar Heels before returning home for a mid-week game against the Georgia Bulldogs and a weekend series against the Miami Hurricanes. MIAMI, Fla. - Sophomore right-hander David Gutierrez no-hit Florida International for the first three innings and No. 2 Miami erupted for 11 runs during those innings as the Hurricanes cruised past the Golden Panthers, 13-2, at University Park Wednesday night. ATLANTA, Ga. — Georgia Tech scored 11 unanswered runs to rally back from a 6-2 deficit and beat the Buccaneers of East Tennessee State 13-6. Catcher Jason Haniger and first baseman Tony Plagman hit home runs for the Yellow Jackets. Charlie Blackmon and Brad Feltes added two hits each. Center fielder Jacob Fabry led the Buccaneers with 3 hits.

Hofstra 12 Coppin State 3
Hempstead, NY- Hofstra scored three or more runs in the first three innings during which Matt Kougasian had four RBI and Nick Panzarella had three RBI as the Pride defeated Coppin State, 12-3, Wednesday afternoon. With the victory the Pride improve to 8-16 while the Eagles fall to 3-23.
Hofstra jumped out to a three-run lead in the first inning. After the first three runners reached base for the Pride, Kougasian drove a run home with a sacrifice fly for the first run. CORAL GABLES, Fla. - Freshman catcher Yasmani Grandal drove in the game-winning run after junior Dave DiNatale hit a two-run game-tying single in the bottom of the eighth as No. 2 Miami rallied to defeat Bethune-Cookman, 7-6, Wednesday night at Mark Light Field. ATLANTA, Ga. — Junior outfielder Charlie Blackmon drove in the winning run in the bottom of the 8th as part of a 4-RBI evening to lead the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets to a 7-6 victory over the Mercer Bears. Freshman Jeff Rowland added two hits, and closer Chris Hicks earned his 6th save of the season.

FULLERTON, Calif. - The 21st-ranked University of San Diego baseball team scored four unanswered runs in picking up a 6-2 win over No. 16 Cal State Fullerton Tuesday evening in a non-conference game at Goodwin Field.
