The Brazos Valley Bombers came out on the short end of the stick tonight, as they fell to the McKinney Marshals 1-0. Brett Parsons’ TCL Record 15 game hit streak came to an end as the Bombers were only able to manage three hits.

Thomas Rooke (Kansas State) held the Bombers bats in check for over five innings and Curt Restko (Eastern Illinois) hit his first home run of the season as the Marshals ended a seven game losing streak by beating Brazos Valley 4-2 in College Station Wednesday night.

Following the Lipscomb Bisons’ upset over Southeastern Conference powerhouse Kentucky on Tuesday, the Brazos Valley Bombers announced the signing of two Lipscomb freshmen to bolster the pitching rotation.

Martin Grude and Josh Cotham are shaping up to be vital pieces of the Bombers’ bullpen, which will have more depth than either of the two previous seasons. The pair of right-handed freshman have combined to pitch over 29 innings in relief this season, with Grude also starting one game.
