William and Mary 9 Delaware 4

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – Senior Paul Juliano hit a grand slam in the seventh inning to help William and Mary earn a 9-4 victory against Delaware on a cold and rainy afternoon at Plumeri Park on Sunday. With the triumph, W&M claimed the series against UD and improves its record to 18-10 overall and 9-6 in conference play.

In addition to the grand slam, Juliano went 2-for-2 with five RBI. The Northfield, N.J., native also drew three walks as he reached base in all five of his trips to the plate. Senior Greg Maliniak also hit a home run, while classmate Tim Park went 3-for-5 with a run scored. Junior Jeff Jones came up big with a 2-for-4 effort and scored twice. Read the rest of this entry »

James Madison 6 Hofstra 2

Hempstead, NY- Justin Wood pitched a complete game, allowing only four hits and striking out six to lead James Madison past Hofstra in game two of a Colonial Athletic Association series Saturday afternoon. Trevor Knight had two RBI for the Dukes while Matt Prokopowicz contributed a single and a run scored for the Pride. Hofstra falls to 8-18 (0-11 CAA) while James Madison improves to (18-7, 11-3 CAA).
