We continue the list today with number 84 in our countdown with junior 1B/3B Mickey Wiswall of Boston College. He is a 6’0 207 pound left handed hitting third baseman who comes from Stoneham, MA and Belmont Hill where he played high school baseball. He played for three seasons at Belmont Hill under Edward Gallagher where Mickey hit over .450 in each of his seasons while totaling 11 homers and 64 RBI in his career. He was named to the Inner City League All-Star Game and was an AAU All-American.

nesseth_croppedPhoto Nebraska head coach Mike Anderson has released the 2010 slate for his Cornhuskers.  The Huskers finished a disappointing last place in the Big 12 last year but are looking to get back to being a mainstay at the College World Series like they were at the start of the decade.

The Huskers will begin the 2010 season on the West Coast, as they travel to California to take on Fresno State (Feb. 19-22) in a four game set.  Nebraska will then visit Houston, Texas, to take part in the Rice Invitational (Feb. 26-28) where they will play games against Texas A&M Corpus Christi, host Rice, and Elon.

We continue the list today with number 86 in our countdown with Army junior two-way player Ben Koenigsfeld. He is from New Port Richey Florida and attended Ridgewood High School where he was a three sport standout in basketball and swimming in addition to baseball. He was a two-time conference selection while being named League Pitcher of the Year as a senior. He was selected for the Florida All-Star Game for his solid interscholastic career.

He is from Louisville Kentucky where he attended Eastern High School where he picked up four letters playing for John Morris. He helped lead them to a district championship and a 32-7 record in his final season.

We continue the list today with number 88 in our countdown with Holy Cross senior third baseman Matt Perry. He is 6’2 and 190 pounds out of St. Sebastian’s High School and from Sudbury Massachusetts. He was a three sport athlete (Cross-Country, Basketball, and Baseball) in high school picking up letters in each sport from his sophomore through his senior campaigns. He was a two-time member of ISL All-League team.

We continue the list today with number 89 in our countdown with Oregon State sophomore RHP Sam Gaviglio. He is a 6’1 170 pound righthander out of Ashland High School in Ashland Oregon. He picked up three letters in high school playing under Don Senestrero. In his senior season, he went a perfect 13-0 with a 0.50 ERA including 108 strikeouts while picking up 5A Pitcher of the Year award. The Tampa Bay Rays selected him in the 40th round but decided to attend Oregon State to play under Pat Casey.

LandryHeadshot The CBB continues our countdown for the 2010 College Baseball season by checking in on the Top 100 Players in the country. We will be providing one player per day until we reach number 1.

We continue the list today with number 91 in our countdown with LSU junior outfielder Leon Landry. He is 5’11 and 197 pounds out of Baton Rouge, LA and Baker High School. He was a three sport athlete in high school playing basketball, football, and baseball. He excelled in baseball as he was named first team all-district in three consecutive seasons as a pitcher and infielder. Perfect Game rated him as one of the top players in the Southeast region which saw him get selected by the Cincinnati Reds in the 36th round. He declined to sign with the Reds and headed to LSU.

We continue the list today with number 92 in our countdown with Clemson sophomore LHP/outfielder Will Lamb who is listed at 6’4 and 170 pounds. He is from Seaford Virginia and attended York High School where he lettered in baseball for all four years and picked up a letter in basketball. He was named All-State in Virginia as a junior and senior. In his junior season, he hit .508 with a 4-2 record and a 1.60 ERA on the mound.

We continue the list today with number 93 in our countdown with Missouri State junior LHP Aaron Meade. He is a 6’2 175 pound left-handed pitcher out of Rockhurst High School and Kansas City, Missouri. His senior season saw him go 4-2 with a 2.25 ERA and win Rockhurst High School’s Pitcher of the Year award.

We continue the list today with number 94 in our countdown with Auburn junior DH/Infielder Kevin Patterson. He is 6’4 233 pounds out of Oak Mountain High School and from Birmingham, Alabama. He had a career average in high school of .392 with 25 homers and 107 RBI. He was selected by the Chicago White Sox in the 24th round in the 2007 MLB Draft but decided to become a member of the Auburn Tiger baseball squad.
