TEXAS WINS BIG 12 CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE GAME VS. KANSAS STATE
Posted by: Aman Reaka in 2008 Conference Tourney, Big 12OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. - The No. 24 Texas Longhorns logged 19 hits to post a 15-7 win over the Kansas State Wildcats in the title game of the Phillips 66 Big 12 Baseball Championship at AT&T Bricktown Ballpark.
It was the third league tournament crown for Texas who also won the prize in 2002 and 2003.
Brandon Belt was named the Phillips 66 Big 12 Baseball Championship Most Outstanding Player. He went .588 (10-of-17) with five runs, two doubles, one home run and 10 RBI in four games.
