FloridaScoreboard Collegiate Baseball released their Top 40 Recruiting Classes for the incoming freshman class in the 2009-2010 season. Florida comes in at the top of the list with Arizona State, LSU, Central Florida and Cal-State Fullerton rounding out the Top Five. You can check out the rest of the list which is available below.

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. – The No. 24 Texas Longhorns logged 19 hits to post a 15-7 win over the Kansas State Wildcats in the title game of the Phillips 66 Big 12 Baseball Championship at AT&T Bricktown Ballpark.

It was the third league tournament crown for Texas who also won the prize in 2002 and 2003.

Brandon Belt was named the Phillips 66 Big 12 Baseball Championship Most Outstanding Player. He went .588 (10-of-17) with five runs, two doubles, one home run and 10 RBI in four games.

The Collegiate Baseball Newspaper has released their version of the 2007 Pre-Season Top 40 poll. They have Rice ranked in the first spot followed by Clemson, South Carolina, Arkansas, and North Carolina to finish out the top 5. The full list of schools is available in PDF format.

They have also released the 2007 Pre-Season All-American team. The team is led by Matt Wieters of Georgia Tech. He was an excellent player all year during the college and also during the Cape Cod League this summer. He should continue to dominate this upcoming season in his hunt to win the CWS and be the Number 1 overall pick in the draft. The full team is available here in PDF format also.
