The CBB has come across 7 more College Baseball Schedules- Michigan, Columbia, Gardner Webb, St. Louis, Kansas, Southeastern Louisiana, and Virginia Tech.
Gardner Webb will play 36 home games out of a 56 2009 College Baseball Schedule. First up on the slate will be 4 game series against Canisius staring on the 20th of February.
Gardner Webb will get the Atlantic Sun Conference started with a series against Presbyterian. They will wrap the season on May 14th against Winthrop and then the Conference Tournament will start the following weekend.

CORAL GABLES, Fla. - Freshman catcher Yasmani Grandal drove in the game-winning run after junior Dave DiNatale hit a two-run game-tying single in the bottom of the eighth as No. 2 Miami rallied to defeat Bethune-Cookman, 7-6, Wednesday night at Mark Light Field. MACON, Ga. – Stetson is the overwhelming favorite to repeat as Atlantic Sun Conference baseball champion in 2008 in the league’s preseason poll. The Hatters garnered eight of 12 first place votes in the poll conducted among the conference’s head coaches. Hatter outfielder Justin Bass and Lipscomb catcher Caleb Joseph split preseason Player of the Year honors, while Lipscomb’s Rex Brothers claimed Pitcher of the Year honors. Brandon Guyer went 3-4 with four RBIs, four runs scored, and a grand slam to lead the Cavaliers to a 17-6 thumping of George Mason. David Adams and John Scaglione were the other Cavs with three hits on the day.

The Clemson Tigers without head coach Jack Leggett pounded out 21 hits with twelve different players picking up at least one hit to pound Gardner-Webb 14-2. Ben Paulsen went 5-5 with a homer and six RBI to lead the Tiger offense.

Joe Lake drove home Bryan Lescanec to break a 6-6 tie in the bottom of the eighth to lead JMU to the 8-6 victory over Virginia Tech.

The Terps scored nine runs in the fifth inning to coast to a 15-3 victory over William & Mary. Joe Palumbo set the stage in the lead-off role by going 4-5 with two runs scored and three RBIs in the win.

The Wake Forest Demon Deacons scored five runs in the bottom of the ninth to pull out a 5-4 victory over Gardner Webb on Tuesday. Wake Forest was held to three hits and no runs through the first eight innings. The ninth inning was a different story as the Deacons came up with five hits and five runs for their third walk-off victory of the year. Willy Fox hit a two run double to drive in the tying and winning runs to be the hero on the day. Wake Forest will be back in action on Wednesday when they host High Point. Wake will send Alex Weisner (0-0, 8.31 ERA) to the mound to face Brandon Moore (0-0, 9.00 ERA). Gardner-Webb will be back in action on Friday when they visit Georgia.

The Maryland Terps will open the season this weekend at the Winthrop Challenge. They will take on Winthrop on Friday, followed on Saturday by a game against Gardner-Webb, and on Sunday they will face off against the Creighton Blue Jays.
