Ed Collins of SouthCoastToday.com has an excellent feature on the Wareham Gatemen. He spotlights Derek Dietrich and Shea Vucinich who each have been the heart and sole of the Gatemen offense this season. Dietrich picked up two homers against Harwich on June 18th while Vucinich picked up two homers against Chatham last Thursday. Dietrich will be entering his junior season at Georgia Tech as he is widely considered one of the prospects in the country. He finished last season with a .311 average while hitting 10 homers and 54 RBI. Shea Vucinich will also be entering his junior season with Washington State. He struggled last season with a .230 average with six homers and 25 RBI but has seemed to turn it around in the Cape Cod League. Read the rest of this entry »
