Florida State Baseball Announces 2009-10 Signing Class
Florida State baseball and head coach Mike Martin announced the signing of seven student-athletes to National Letters of Intent as of November 13, 2008. The 2009-10 class features six players from the state of Florida and one from Maryland. The signees include 3B David Boyd, SS/2B Ryan Gennett, INF Justin Gonzalez, INF/RHP Tyler Hibbs, LHP Brett Lee, C/1B Stephen McGee, 2B Devon Travis.

The North Carolina Central Eagles have released their 2009 baseball schedule. Head Coach Henry White and the Eagles open the season at the HBCU Classic in Savannah, Georgia (Feb. 20-22). From there, the Eagles will play a two game mid-week set at Davidson (Feb. 24-25) before returning to Durham for the home opener against Saint Augustine’s (Mar. 1).

Mississippi State Baseball Alumni Gather Next Weekend On Campus
STARKVILLE, Miss. - Plans are moving forward for the 13th alumni baseball weekend next week at Mississippi State. The biennial event, scheduled October 18-19, is expected to draw more than 50 former baseball players and managers representing teams spanning eight decades of Mississippi State baseball to the MSU campus.
The weekend schedule kicks off Saturday at 1 p.m. with an alumni golf tournament at the MSU Golf Course, followed by a dinner in the Bryan Athletic Administration Building. Capping the weekend will be the 2008 alumni baseball game, with Diamond Dogs of the past teaming with members of the 2009 Mississippi State team in a Maroon/White game at Dudy Noble Field. First pitch is set for 1 p.m. and is open to the public with no charge for admission.

The Dallas Baptist University Baseball Team held their first annual Alumni Weekend on October 3 and 4. The weekend started with a golf tournament that was held on October 3, at the Golf Club of Dallas, then a Home Run Derby on the morning of October 4, which was followed by the Alumni vs. 2008 DBU Baseball Team game.
The golf tournament proved to be a success with over 12 teams of foursomes hitting the course on Friday afternoon. The teams were competing for the lowest score, while individuals each had a chance to win on the longest drive and two closest to the pin contests. Directly following the tournament the participants were served dinner at the Golf Club of Dallas, along with an award ceremony for all the winners from the golf tournament.

Georgia State Announces 2009 Slate
Highlighted by home match-ups against two of their biggest rivals and coming off a school record 33-win season, the Georgia State baseball team announced its upcoming 2009 schedule on Tuesday afternoon. The journey back to the Colonial Athletic Association Tournament begins with a four-game home series against Cleveland State on Friday, February 20th.

The Cal-State Bakersfield University baseball team will begin play in 2009 under Bill Kernan. The team will be compromised of 12 incoming juniors with 13 freshmen coming into the program. The CBB is committed in bringing the very best content to the site. Today we have two schedules, Big Ten Iowa Hawkeyes and the Longwood Lancers, a Independent participant. We also have the fall schedule for Monmouth.
Iowa Hawkeyes
Iowa finished at the bottom of the Big Ten last year and will be looking to improves on those numbers in ‘09. Head Coach Jack Dahm and the Hawkeyes will kick off the 2009 campaign in the Big East/BIG Ten Challenged the weekend of the 20th of February. Iowa will face BIG Ten foe Illinois on Friday, Saturday they will square off against St John, then they will wrap it up with a contest against Georgetown on Sunday the 22nd of February.

The Lemoyne Dolphins have put out their tentative 2009 schedule. They will open the season on February 20th when they head down to Tulane for the first game of a four game weekend series. The following weekend, the team will head to Longwood for a three game set. The Monitor out of McAllen, Texas is reporting that Manuel Mantrana will be announced as the new head coach of the University of Texas at Pan Am. Coach Mantrana has spent the last 12 years as the head coach at St. Thomas University in Miami.

When the Interim AD Ricky Vaughn at UT- Pan American elected to not renew Coach Gawlik’s contract it will be interesting to see which direction UT-Pan Am goes. The baseball team at UT-Pan Am plays in a very nice stadium that they share with a minor league team in Edinburg, Texas. Also with the announcement that they will be joining the Great West Conference starting this school year. Player of the Week: Nick Campbell (Bryant), Little Falls
Nick Campbell batted .375 (9-for-24) and compiled a .531 on-base percentage in eight games for the Miners last week. Campbell scored a team-high seven runs, drove in five runs, drew eight walks and tallied three extra-base hits. He reached base via hit or walk in seven of eight contests and he had three multi-hit and two multi-walk games. The Raynham, Mass., native had his best game against Amsterdam on July 5.
