Corbeil, a Chesterfield, MO, native, is an incoming freshman infielder. He was a two-time all-state, all-district and all-conference selection his two years on the Marquette High School varsity squad. Corbeil’s senior season he hit .453 with four home runs and 37 RBI. In his career at Marquette he set the career RBI record, with 54. Corbeil was part of the 2008 Suburban West Conference Championship team and partook in the Junior Sunbelt Games. PETERSBURG, FL – The schedule has been finalized and two state‐of‐the‐art major league venues have been added to the 2010 Big Ten/BIG EAST Baseball Challenge, hosted by the St. Petersburg/Clearwater Sports Commission, event manager API Sports announced today. PETERSBURG, FL – Due to the recent unavailability of Progress Energy Park, the schedule for the inaugural BIG EAST-Big Ten Baseball Challenge has been adjusted to include games at McKechnie Field in Bradenton and Red McEwen Field at the University of South Florida. 2008 overall record 22-33, Big Ten record 10-22, 10th. If head coach Jack Dahm had his way, coming off of a 4th place conference finish in 2007, 2008 would have been the year his Iowa Hawkeyes showed they have what it takes to be an elite champion contender team. Sometimes in life reality gives you a hard slap in the face, and for the Hawkeye baseball program, falling from 4th to last isn’t exactly a pleasurable experience.
