KENNESAW, Ga. – Senior Teddy Fallon (Palm Beach Gardens, Fla./Boston College) got two huge double plays in the eighth and ninth innings to help hold off late rallies from Atlantic Sun Conference-leading Kennesaw State on Easter Sunday at Stillwell Stadium, as the USC Upstate baseball team fought back from a three-run deficit to post a 7-5 win.

Share Jace Whitmer's two-run homer in the eighth put the game away
KENNESAW, Ga. – Junior Barrett Stover (Durham, N.C./Lenoir C.C.) allowed two hits in his first six innings of work, but a four-run seventh inning helped lift Kennesaw State to a 5-0 win over the USC Upstate baseball team in the second game of an Atlantic Sun Conference doubleheader at Stillwell Stadium on Saturday. The Owls took the first game, 10-6, to help the first-place team stay at the top of the A-Sun with the sweep of Upstate.

MACON, Ga. – In each of its first three years in the Atlantic Sun, Kennesaw State has improved its standing and on the heels of its runner-up finish in 2008, the A-Sun coaches have installed the Owls as the preseason favorite, the conference office announced on Thursday.
Led by the Preseason Pitcher of the Year, Kyle Heckathorn, the Owls received six of the 11 first-place votes outdistancing themselves from a bunched pack of Lipscomb, the 2008 conference champion, FGCU, the 2008 regular-season champion and Stetson. Share KENNESAW, Ga. – Kennesaw State head baseball coach Mike Sansing announced the signings of twelve top student-athletes to a National Letter of Intent to play for the Owls beginning in the 2009 season.
“This recruiting class, under the direction of recruiting coordinator Ryan Coe, is clearly the strongest class we’ve had since becoming Division I,” said Coach Sansing. “Coach Coe has taken a strong hold in our state and recruited not only great players, but excellent student-athletes with outstanding families. Cory Barton Hired as Assistant Baseball Coach at ULM
Cory Barton has been named assistant baseball coach at ULM, head coach Jeff Schexnaider announced on Tuesday. Barton’s hire is pending approval by the University of Louisiana System Board of Supervisors.
Barton joins the Warhawk staff after two seasons as an assistant coach at Memphis and a two-year playing career with the Tigers.
