HARRISONBURG, Va., Feb. 12, 2010 – Due to the recent heavy snowfalls in the Shenandoah Valley, James Madison has cancelled its season-opening baseball series scheduled for next weekend, Feb. 19-21, at Veterans Memorial Park. The games are unlikely to be rescheduled.

Edison, N.J. – Manhattan College has been chosen as the favorite to take the 2010 MAAC Baseball title, according to a preseason poll voted on by the league’s head coaches.

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – The Marist Athletics Department released the 2010 schedule for the baseball team on Tuesday. The Red Foxes have 54 games on the regular-season schedule, which will begin on Feb. 19 with a three-game series at James Madison. Marist will have 18 home games at McCann Baseball Field.
