McMurry played small ball Sunday to defeat Concordia-Texas 4-1 in the American Southwest Conference Baseball Championship at Walt Driggers Field. ABILENE, Texas – Concordia-Texas stunned No. 6-ranked Texas-Tyler in the opening game of the American Southwest Conference Championship Round Friday at Walt Driggers Field with an 8-7 victory. Brian Wernecke homered twice including a clutch 2-run shot in the top of the ninth inning that later proved to be the game-winner.
