Crow or Matusz, Matusz or Crow? That seems to be the question. Fortunately for comparison sake, the only similarity they really share is they are both studs.
I am not going to get into college numbers when comparing them, because most college numbers are useless. The fact that Matusz struck out 16 against San Fransisco really does no good in his future projection. Something I will bring up is the K/BB ratio because I feel it is important no matter what division or league a pitcher is in that they throw strikes and have dominating stuff; Matusz with a 71:15 ratio and Crow with a 67:11. But, Crow plays against better competition blah blah blah that it why I do not want to get into comparing college stats. They are both dominating the college ranks, enough said. O’FALLON, Mo. - Mark Kelly’s one-out single plated the go-ahead run in the top of the eighth inning to lead Southern Illinois University (21-17) to a 2-1 win over No. 4 Missouri (29-11) earlier tonight in a wood bat game at T.R. Hughes Stadium.
The game was tied 1-1 when Scott Elmendorf singled to spark SIU’s one-out rally in the eighth. Adam Hills followed with a base knock and Elmendorf moved to second. Kelly then stepped in and delivered his 33rd RBI of the year on a ground single up the middle. Read the rest of this entry »

Chase Daniel was able to lead a comeback over the University of Texas 31-12. Texas Jumped out to a quick 8-0 lead but Texas could not hold on to it. Chase directed two scoring drives to take a 10-9 lead and never looked back.
OK, now that the fun is over. Texas was able to break Aaron Crow scoreless streak in the First inning but was not able to maintain the momentum as the TIgers jumped all over Austin Wood and the UT pitching staff to the most runs ever given up by the staff. I think Priday is still circling the bases.
