SMITHFIELD, R.I. — Bryant University head baseball coach Jamie Pinzino is pleased to announce the Bulldogs’ 2010 schedule, to include 20 home contests as well as a full Northeast Conference slate.
The Bulldogs, who went 32-22 last season in their first year of Division I play, will open the spring season 10-straight road games, traveling south to warmer weather before returning to The Ocean State to host Boston College in the 2010 home opener on Wednesday, March 17.

Share AUBURN, Ala. – Ty Megahee has joined the Auburn baseball staff for the 2009-10 season, Auburn Head Coach John Pawlowski announced on Tuesday. Megahee was previously at Monmouth University as an assistant coach/recruiting coordinator, helping the team to a regional appearance in 2009.
"We are very fortunate to have Ty Megahee join the Auburn baseball program. His experience as an assistant coach, recruiting coordinator and a trip to the NCAA Regionals last year will certainly help us as we continue to move the program forward," Pawlowski said.

Share The San Mateo Daily Journal recently checked in on Salem-Keizer who is the Low-A affiliate of the San Francisco Giants. One of the players profiled is Chris Dominguez from Louisville. He has continued his power hitting in pro baseball as he has already hit nine homers in his first 102 at bats. I had questions on Dominguez’s defense during his college days and there is still a little debate according to his manager Tom Treblehorn. One of the other players profiled is former Quinnipiac lefty Chris Gloor who picked up four wins last week in his first four appearances.

Share Ole Miss will be hosting the Oxford Regional with Missouri (Big 12) as the two seed, Western Kentucky (Sun Belt) as the 3rd seed, and the 4th seed Monmouth (Northeast Conference). Ole Miss was tied for first in the SEC West. While Missouri finish third in the Big 12 and lost to Texas in the Big 12 Tournament Championship game.Western Kentucky was tied for first in the Sun Belt but lost in the semifinal of the Sun Belt Tournament. Monmouth finish fourth in the Northeast Conference but won that Conference Tournament. The winner of the Oxford Regional will be paired up with the winner of the Irvine Regional. ATHENS, Ga. – Jed Bradley scattered five runs over six innings and Jason Haniger went 4-for-5 with a home run to help No. 10 Georgia Tech (22-8-1) knock off top-ranked Georgia (29-7), 11-6, Tuesday night at Foley Field.
Bradley (2-2) tied a career-high with seven strikeouts to help the Yellow Jackets to their fifth win over a ranked opponent this season and their first against the nation’s top-ranked team since the 2003 season. Share The College Baseball Blog made the short trek over to Holy Cross to take in a split doubleheader with Holy Cross playing both Yale and Quinnipiac in nine inning games. Share There was an outstanding catch in the College of Charleston-Quinnipiac game which was played on Tuesday.
