CLEMSON, S.C.—–Top-ranked Georgia scored three runs in the ninth to erase a one-run deficit and beat No. 22 Clemson, 4-2, Wednesday at Doug Kingsmore Stadium.

Bour hit .471 (8-17) and drove in 11 runs in George Mason’s 3-1 week. The junior first baseman was 7-for-13 (.538) with two homers, four runs scored and nine RBI as the Patriots won two of three at William & Mary. Chris Henderson, George Mason
Jr., C, Marlton, N.J./Cherokee
Henderson batted .440 with five doubles, a triple, a homer, four RBI and six runs scored as George Mason went 5-1 last week. He hit .615 (8-13) as the Patriots won two of three at CAA foe ODU, including becoming just the second player in school history to hit for the cycle in Saturday’s 4-2 triumph. Every CAA team with the exception of Hofstra will engage in conference play this weekend. The Pride, along with Old Dominion and William & Mary, are the only three teams in the eleven team league with a losing record thus far.

Matt Browning, James Madison Jr., OF, Mystic, Conn./Fitch
Browning batted .647 (11-17) with three doubles, a homer, seven runs scored and four RBI in JMU’s five games last week. -Northeastern will hold its annual scrimmage with the Boston Red Sox Saturday at 1 p.m. in Fort Myers. Check out live updates here.
The Huskies will continue their regular season with a doubleheader Sunday against Northwestern in Winter Haven, Fla.

Share Ten of the eleven CAA teams were in action this weekend in non- conference games. Here’s a quick run down of each team.
-George Mason started the year 4-0 for just the third time in school history. The Patriots competed in the Courtyard by Marriott Baseball Classic in Spartanburg, S.C. Righty Kevin Crum (1-0 0.00) and second baseman Ryan Soares (.500-1-4) were named the all-tournament team.
-UNC Wilmington started the season off with a three game sweep of Maryland at home. Outfielder Grayson Evans (.417) had 7 RBI in the series. Read the rest of this entry »

The opening weekend of the 2009 Conference USA baseball season is in the books. As a league, C-USA got off to a good start, going 19-10 overall, with six teams posting winning records and another going .500.
