Share Baseball America has put out their incoming 2010 Recruiting Class Rankings which are led by the University of Florida. Stanford comes in at the runner up spot with Arizona State, TCU, and Cal-State Fullerton completing the Top 5.

Share Ole Miss RHP Jake Morgan will miss the 2010 season due to Tommy John surgery on his pitching elbow. He finished last season with a 4-1 overall record with nine saves and a 3.24 ERA. He also struck out 55 batters in his 41.2 innings of work while only letting up seven walks.

OXFORD, Miss. - The Ole Miss baseball team will play 34 home dates in the 2010 baseball season head coach Mike Bianco announced on Wednesday, as the Rebels look to defend their 2009 Southeastern Conference Championship and earn a ninth berth in the NCAA Tournament over the last 10 seasons.
The Rebels’ schedule will feature home SEC weekends against Florida, Tennessee, LSU, Arkansas and Auburn, while Ole Miss will go on the road to face Kentucky, Georgia, South Carolina, Mississippi State and Alabama. Vanderbilt rotates off the Rebels’ schedule in favor of the Tennessee Volunteers this season.

The most popular selection is Texas showing up on all six ballots with LSU, Cal-State Fullerton, and Virginia showing up on five of them. Share Baseball America recently put out their Top 25 College Baseball and High School Prospects for the 2010 MLB Draft. The college rankings are led by Bryce Harper who has received national attention for skipping his final two years of high school to play college baseball with Community College of Southern Nevada. The rest of the top five is Anthony Ranaudo from LSU, Deck McGuire from Ga Tech, Levon Washington from Chipola JC, and Chris Sale from Florida Gulf Coast. The rest of the top 25 is available below.

OXFORD, Miss. - Fall is an exciting time on campuses all across the country as students return and get geared up for another school year, football season and all of the other activities that come along with college life.
The Ole Miss Baseball team is no exception to that rule, but the members of the squad and the coaching staff are also excited for another reason as the team starts work for another season and another run at a Southeastern Conference title after claiming the 2009 SEC Championship.

PRINCE GEORGE, British Columbia — USA starter Drew Pomeranz (Ole Miss) took a no-hitter into the seventh inning and Team USA beat Germany, 8-1, in the championship game at the 2009 Enbridge Northern Gateway Pipeline World Baseball Challenge at Prince George Citizen Field.
Germany got on the board in the first inning on no hits. Pomeranz (Ole Miss) put two runners on board with a hit batsman and a walk before a sacrifice bunt moved them to second and third. Ludwig Glaser followed with an RBI groundout to second base for the 1-0 lead.

Share Team USA will play their final game of the summer today in the 2009 Enbridge Northern Gateway World Baseball Challenge in Prince George British Columbia. Team USA will take on the Germany National Team which picked up an upset victory over the United States team during the preliminary rounds (Full Recap). Team USA will send LHP Drew Pomeranz (Ole Miss) to the hill to face TBD pitcher from the German team. The game is set to begin at 7pm Eastern/4pm Pacific. (PRINCE GEORGE, British Columbia) – Christian Colon (Cal State Fullerton) and Yasmani Grandal (Miami) hit a home run each and Team USA opened the 2009 Enbridge Northern Pipeline World Baseball Challenge with a 5-2 victory over Canada at Citizen Stadium.
Christian Colon (Cal State Fullerton) hit a solo home run over the wall in left field in the first inning to put the U.S. up front early, 1-0.
