#13 Baylor 7 at #6 Texas A&M 13
Brodie Greene went 4-for-5 and Nick Anders hit two home runs to lead No. 3 Texas A&M to a 13-7 win over No. 5 Baylor Sunday afternoon before 3,880 fans at Olsen Field.
Greene and Anders powered a 15-hit attack by the Aggie offense, which saw five players record at least two hits and two–Kevin Gonzalez and Joe Patterson–each drive in three runs.

Share Sophomore Tony Thompson went 2-for-2 with a two-run homer Friday against Arizona State.
Kansas 3 vs #4 Arizona State 2
Kansas defeated the No. 4 Arizona State University baseball team 3-2 on Saturday in the Coca-Cola Classic in Surprise. The Sun Devils fall to 13-3 on the season with the loss.
Freshman Mitchell Lambson was the hard-luck loser, falling to 3-1 despite striking out 12 and allowing just two hits and one run in 5.2 innings out of the bullpen. Jason Franzblau started and gave up six hits and two earned runs in two innings.

The next article is about Orange Coast College baseball player Trevor McDonald has been hospitalized with a flesh eating virus for the last two weeks. Tyler Cleveland of the student paper of Southern Miss talks with Corky Palmer after Southern Miss was manhandled over the weekend by Cal-State Fullerton. The next interesting article talks about the major upset of the Netherlands over the Dominican Republic on Tuesday. Curt Smith who was an All-American at Maine a couple of years ago had a key part in the 11th inning come back. Share I will occasionally check in throughout the season on some random thoughts on the college baseball action that has taken place over the last few days.
What is the problem with Florida State? They have lost five out of their last six games with losses to North Florida, Jacksonville, Auburn, and Boston College (twice). None of those teams are going to be contenders for a College World Series title. Read the rest of this entry »

The ACC had a tough day on March 3rd with only one victory with Boston College edging Florida Gulf Coast. The rest of the conference struggled highlighted by Miami (FL) being shutout 3-0 by Rhode Island and Jacksonville knocking off Florida State 9-4. The rest of the games on March 3rd were canceled due to the large snowstorm which still is wrecking havoc with many college baseball fields in the southern part of this country. Here is your ACC recap for Febraury 20th. We saw the North Carolina Tar Heels jump off to a great start to the season with a 13-3 victory over VMI. The ACC had a strong day which saw them win 9 games while dropping only three games.

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Garrett Gore and Mark Fleury each drove in three runs as No. 1 North Carolina broke open a tight game with a six-run fifth inning to claim a 13-3 win over VMI Friday at Bryson Field at Boshamer Stadium.
