Share Kendall Rogers of Rivals.com recently put out his list of the Top Hitters during the 2000’s which is led by Dustin Ackley of North Carolina. He hit over .400 in each of his three seasons in Chapel Hill including playing in the College World Series during each season.

Share Baseball America has put out their incoming 2010 Recruiting Class Rankings which are led by the University of Florida. Stanford comes in at the runner up spot with Arizona State, TCU, and Cal-State Fullerton completing the Top 5.

Share Baseball America recently put out their Top 25 College Baseball and High School Prospects for the 2010 MLB Draft. The college rankings are led by Bryce Harper who has received national attention for skipping his final two years of high school to play college baseball with Community College of Southern Nevada. The rest of the top five is Anthony Ranaudo from LSU, Deck McGuire from Ga Tech, Levon Washington from Chipola JC, and Chris Sale from Florida Gulf Coast. The rest of the top 25 is available below.

Share The Tennessee Volunteers have released their 2010 schedule. The 56 game slate has the Vols playing thirty five home games, including fifteen home SEC contests. The Vols will begin the season at home against 2009 Regional participant Xavier (Feb. 19-21). The non-conference portion of the schedule is highlighted by two tournaments in Knoxville, one in which the Volunteers will host Binghamton and Kennesaw State (March 5-7) and the other in which Tennessee hosts Connecticut, Ohio State, and Marshall (March 12-14).

Share Tennessee’s Todd Raleigh recently made a trip to Cape Cod to check in on his two drafted players in Chad Bell and Bryan Morgado. Bell is transferring into the Tennessee program for the 2010 season but was selected in the 14th round by the Texas Rangers. He is currently 3-1 with a 1.34 ERA in the Cape League. Morgado on the other hand was selected in the third round by the Chicago White Sox. He is currently sporting a 2-0 mark with a 1.67 ERA. The article also talks about four incoming freshmen who have already enrolled in summer school eliminating the suspense on whether or not they sign a contract.

PRINCE GEORGE, British Columbia — USA starter Drew Pomeranz (Ole Miss) took a no-hitter into the seventh inning and Team USA beat Germany, 8-1, in the championship game at the 2009 Enbridge Northern Gateway Pipeline World Baseball Challenge at Prince George Citizen Field.
Germany got on the board in the first inning on no hits. Pomeranz (Ole Miss) put two runners on board with a hit batsman and a walk before a sacrifice bunt moved them to second and third. Ludwig Glaser followed with an RBI groundout to second base for the 1-0 lead.

(PRINCE GEORGE, British Columbia) – Asher Wojciechowski (The Citadel) struck out nine batters in seven innings and Team USA beat Bahamas, 8-1, at the 2009 Enbridge Northern Gateway Pipeline World Baseball Challenge at Prince George Citizen Field.
Kolten Wong (Hawaii) hit a double down the right field line to score Tyler Holt (Florida State) in the first inning and Matt Newman (Arizona State) stole home in the second for a 2-0, Team USA lead.

(PRINCE GEORGE, British Columbia) – Christian Colon (Cal State Fullerton) and Yasmani Grandal (Miami) hit a home run each and Team USA opened the 2009 Enbridge Northern Pipeline World Baseball Challenge with a 5-2 victory over Canada at Citizen Stadium.
Christian Colon (Cal State Fullerton) hit a solo home run over the wall in left field in the first inning to put the U.S. up front early, 1-0.
