April 15th 2009 will be known for a major upset in Baton Rouge LA where Nicholls State picked up a 3-1 victory over the LSU Tigers. The most impressive thing was that the Colonels used eight different pitchers in the game with none of them giving up more then a single hit. Read the rest of this entry »

Share The Warning Track with Brian Foley checks in today looking at all the upsets on April 14th around College Baseball.
We can call April 14th as the Day of the Upset as ten ranked teams picked up losses to either a lower ranked squad or a team outside of the Top 30. The biggest one of the day was High Point beating North Carolina in Chapel Hill. Read the rest of this entry »

The Warning Track with Brian Foley checks in today with some of the best action from Friday night.
The first story of the night was Kent State’s Brad Stillings (TCBB 40th Best Player) twirling a nine inning no-hitter against Toledo as the Golden Flashes picked up a 1-0 victory over MAC rival Toledo. Stillings went nine innings without walking anyone and only a second inning error kept him from getting a perfect game. This game was only the 10th no-hitter in Golden Flash history.Full Recap of the game is available by clicking here. Read the rest of this entry »

Share The Warning Track with Brian Foley checks in today with some of the biggest question marks heading into the weekend’s action.
The Big East squads and a few other conferences started up play on Thursday to avoid having a conflict with the Easter holiday on this Sunday. I find it very odd that one of the schools that didn’t change up their schedule is the College of the Holy Cross who is scheduled to play a doubleheader on Easter Sunday against Bucknell. Share This is a new feature on the site where I will talk about some of the biggest news stories of the past few days.
The Arkansas Razorbacks picked up another victory over Arizona State on Wednesday night to sweep the brief two game set from the Arizona State Sun Devils in front of a record crowd at Baum Stadium. I guess people will have to respect the Razorbacks 24-6 record. They will now host Vanderbilt in an SEC series this weekend. Arizona State will head home to take on a tough Washington State squad. Share I will check in throughout the season with my thoughts on some recent news and notes in College Baseball.
The biggest news on Tuesday was Arizona State dropping a tough road game against Arkansas 7-3 in Baum Stadium. The Razorbacks are now 23-6 while being 10-2 in the SEC. I know some people have questions on the Razorbacks early season schedule but they are 10-2 in the SEC with road series victories over South Carolina and Auburn. Read the rest of this entry »
