GREENSBORO, N.C. – UNC Greensboro will play 54 regular season games, including 19 of its first 21 games in the friendly confines of the UNCG Baseball Stadium as head coach Mike Gaski announced the 2010 baseball schedule on Monday afternoon.
The Spartans will open the season with a weekend series at home against Cleveland State on Feb. 19-21 before traveling to Chapel Hill, N.C. to take on returning College World Series participant North Carolina on Feb. 23 in the Spartans’ first midweek contest.

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Southern Conference baseball coaches and the voting members of the Southern Conference Sports Media Association have each selected Elon as the preseason favorite to repeat as champion in 2009. A year ago, the Phoenix became the first team in seven seasons to win both the regular season and tournament titles en route to a 44-18 season and a berth in the NCAA Regionals. He looked at every start from around the nation and figured out which schools treat their pitchers the best in terms of pitch counts while other schools abuse their pitchers with insane pitch counts. GREENSBORO, NC – UNC Greensboro’s baseball team announced the signing of eight student-athletes for the 2009-10 school year, head coach Mike Gaski announced Friday.
Eric Brindle, William Henderson, Tyler Hollstegge, Zach Leach, Jake Milinichik, Cody Poarch and Harry Slade will all come into the program from high school, while Colby Hyatt will join the Spartans after playing at Cypress Community College this past season.
