“Once again we have a great schedule for the fans and players alike,” Stephenson said. “It will be very challenging for this team. I think we have an especially challenging road schedule. It will require us to grow up in a hurry to be successful. I think we’ll have a much better team overall, but we need to prove it on the field in the spring. Bourne destroyed Chatham by a score of 10-1 behind Nick Schwaner (New Orleans) who went 2-3 with two RBI and two runs scored. Box Score Yarmouth-Dennis defeated Brewster 3-1 behind a strong game from Josh Rutledge (Alabama) who went 2-3 with an RBI and a run scored. Chatham defeated Brewster 5-3 behind five one-hit innings from Logan Varrett (Baylor). Box Score Yarmouth-Dennis knocked off Cotuit 9-1. Josh Rutledge (Alabama) led the offense by going 3-4 with an RBI and Chris Sale (Florida Gulf Coast) picked up the win by going six scoreless innings. Darren Dreifort who is known for his MLB career with the Dodgers is currently looking forward to making the trek to Lubbock TX for his induction to the College Baseball Hall of Fame on July 3rd. Dreifort played three seasons at Wichita State where he had his most success in 1993 when he received the Golden Spikes Award. He went 11-1 with a 2.48 ERA while also serving as a DH where he had a .327 average with 22 homers and 66 RBI. MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – A total of 37 standout freshmen college baseball players from every part of the country are featured on the annual Pro-Line Athletic National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) Freshman All-American Team, the organization announced today. The 2009 Pro-Line Athletic NCBWA Freshman All-American Team is comprised from 17 conferences and 10 conference championship teams. Arkansas- 17, Oklahoma-6 NORMAN, OK- The No. 21 Arkansas Razorback baseball team pounded out a season high 20 hits including three or more from Ben Tschepikow, Scott Lyons, Andy Wilkins and James McCann to remain undefeated in the NCAA Norman Regional with a 17-6 victory over the No. 9 Oklahoma Sooners at L.
